Growth Never Feels Like Growth When You’re In It

Every lesson I’ve learned, I’ve learned the hard way. Probably because I like doing things my own way, even when I’m told not to. I think it’s part of my charm.

The truth is, growth never feels like growth when it’s happening. It feels uncomfortable, slow, and messy. You just want it to be over already. If growth felt good, we'd all be doing it more often.

It’s the opposite of eating ice cream. It’s like eating liver. Good for you, but not fun.

When things feel hard, I remind myself that’s usually where the growth is.
