The Energy You Bring Sells More Than Your Pitch

You’ve already said volumes to a prospect before you say a single word.
From the moment you’re introduced or walk into the room, your energy is speaking.

Sometimes louder than you realize.

It’s the way you carry yourself. Your eye contact. Your tone.
Even when people don’t know they’re picking up on something, they feel it.
They sense if you’re grounded, or if you’re scattered, stressed, or just trying to push through.

I think about the times I’ve shown up rushed, preoccupied, and worried about something else, only to have to meet someone for the first time or go on a pitch.

I’ve always known I need to ground myself before I make contact.
But sometimes that’s easier said than done.

Still, I’ve learned this:
People might not be able to name what’s off. But they’ll feel it.
And they’ll decide whether to trust you based on that feeling, long before you start making your case.

So if you’re going to prep for anything, you should start with your energy.
It often matters more than anything you’ll say.
