The Trait That Makes You Great at Sales But No One Talks About
I used to be a stand-up comedian, and I’m sorta known for being direct, but I’m also sensitive. You can make fun of me all day, and I’ll laugh if it’s funny. But when I say sensitive, I mean aware.
I notice slight shifts in energy, tone, and body language. It helps me read people and read the room.
If I took everything personally, being in sales would be brutal. But being sensitive doesn’t mean you’re fragile. It means you’re tuned in.
The pause before someone answers. The hesitation before a “yes.” The way energy drops after a price discussion. Those are signals. And when you catch them, you can adjust instead of pushing.
Sensitivity helps me connect faster, navigate tension, and know when to stop talking. It’s not a weakness. It’s awareness.
