The Year I Worked Less and Sold More

Before the pandemic, I didn’t trust the process. I only trusted the hustle.

I thought if I wasn’t grinding 24/7, I’d fall behind. In sales, everything is performance-based—and I didn’t want to miss a beat.

Then NYC shut down. Overnight, the hustle stopped. And I had to ask myself:

What if my business disappears?

But when the city reopened, something strange happened.

I didn’t go back to the grind.

I made space for life again.

I traveled.

I prioritized joy.

I stopped tying my identity to every deal.

And you know what?

My business didn’t fall apart. It grew.

Every year since has been better than the last—because I stopped chasing every outcome and started trusting what I’d built.

Living better beats burnout every time.
